Leaf Art – Colorful Patterns and Designs
Decorating leaves is practically a creative right-of-passage into winter, and in this year’s case, the perfect fall rainy-afternoon activity. Collecting and doodling on beautiful fall leaves is incredibly relaxing and FUN; I actually enjoy this whimsical leaves kids’ craft as much (or more!) as my elementary-aged kids.
Doodles on Autumn Leaves – Leaf Art in Autumn
At the start of 2020’s quarantine, Grandad sent an Amazon surprise to the kiddos: color gel pens!
We’ve enjoyed our colored gel pen set, especially for its brilliant colors and glittery sparkle. Our gel pen set did not disappoint, as they served as the perfect medium for the intricate details and patterns that we wanted to add to our leaves. The only downside is that gel ink takes a bit of dry, so you have to be careful not to drag your hand through the wet ink.
Prep for this fall kids craft is virtually nil. Leaves, gel pens, and preferably some great background music are all you need. Relax and have fun!
